AHA! Peace Builders

AHA! is a non-profit dedicated to positive attitude, social harmony, and bridging the achievement gap. Peace Builders is an initiative of AHA! that trains high school students in restorative approaches, compassionate communication, bullying prevention, positive and inclusive language, leading connection circles, and the power of kind and thoughtful actions. AHA! initially trains Peace Builders for 10 hours in these skills and then helps set up school Peace Builder clubs with staffing from the school sites which continue throughout the year.

Peace-Q Web Application

The simple, user-friendly, real-time Peace-Q web application is accessible through smartphones and computers. Peace Builders use it to track pro-social behaviors, as well as to keep accurate records of their advocacy actions and connections they make on campus and in their communities. This empowering web application encourages Peace Builders to scan for the positive in themselves and others; this strengthens their moral and social brain development, creating both internal motivation and external acknowledgement to help create safe, welcoming youth cultures, in and out of school.
